Garden Design
Using Woodbine's garden as an example and living classroom, we will talk about how to incorporate Permaculture Design principles in designing your garden. What are your goals: food, flowers, medicine, others? What is your garden personality: tame or wild? What are your site specific problems that can become solutions? We will talk about various designs options like container, theme, keyhole and formal gardens with special emphasis on the challenges we face in Colorado, whether you are in an urban or mountain setting. We will also cover seed selection and where to acquire them emphasizing local and regional resources from heirloom and native plants. Come with lots of questions and maybe some rough sketches of the areas you want garden.
