Clear, Compassionate and Effective Communication
Date: Coming Soon
Compassionate or nonviolent communication (NVC) is a tool that can enable one to move beyond existing patterns and remain peaceful and focused while taking action, even in trying circumstances. Based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg (www.cnvc.org), this workshop will introduce the participants to the knowledge and skills for more effective interpersonal communication, with special attention to multicultural and diverse settings, by helping to point out and heal cultural obstacles and personal conditioning. NVC presents skillful “tools for conventional reality” that help our communication in relationships --by developing mindfulness of language, careful intention, empathic presence, and emotional awareness.
Please review the www.cnvc.org website prior to class to acquaint yourself with the material that exists online. Advance preparation will help you get the most out of this workshop.
The workshop will start promptly 7pm Friday evening. Please arrive at least 30-45 minutes early to check in.
